About this experience
Victoria Falls is many travellers’ first stop in Zimbabwe, but the country has much more: national parks, a vast lake, granite hills and the stone ruins of Great Zimbabwe.
The town also sits close to Botswana and Zambia, which makes it a practical base for day trips. In a single day you can be on a boat in Chobe or looking at the Falls from the Zambian side.
We plan routes that start or finish at Victoria Falls and link the places you want to see, by road or by air where it makes sense. Tell us how many days you have and what interests you, and we will suggest a route.
What you can do
- Hwange National Park : Zimbabwe’s largest national park and a natural pairing with the Falls.
- Mana Pools : A remote, UNESCO-listed national park on the Zambezi in the north.
- Lake Kariba : A vast lake on the Zambezi, known for its sunsets and houseboats.
- Matobo Hills : Granite hills and rock art near Bulawayo.
- Great Zimbabwe : The stone ruins near Masvingo that gave the country its name.
- Day trips : Chobe in Botswana, or Livingstone and the Zambian side of the Falls.
